Samawa Journal serves as a platform for the advancement of Islamic scholarly knowledge, with a particular focus on the study of Islamic family law. Its primary objective is to deepen public understanding of the concepts and practical applications of Islamic family life. The journal is published by the Islamic Family Law (HKI) Study Program at the Darul Falah College of Sharia Sciences (STIS) in Bondowoso, East Java.

Samawa Journal represents STIS Darul Falah Bondowoso's commitment to preserving the intellectual tradition of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah through theoretical inquiry, critical thought, and both content-based and field research. The journal is published biannually, in January and July.

The editorial board welcomes original manuscripts that have not been previously published elsewhere. Submissions are open to lecturers, researchers, students, and practitioners, and must adhere to the submission guidelines listed on the back page of this journal. All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed and edited by the editorial team without altering the substance of the articles.
